Frog’s Leap 2004 Napa Pink La Grenouille Rougante $11.99

Delicious rosé! The color of this wine brings to mind a dark watermelon or cherry Kool-aid. A super nose of strawberries, watermelon and Acacia flowers. This clean and refreshing mouthful of strawberry and candied watermelon flavors is surprising with body and richness coating the palate with its flavors. A perfectly balanced wine with bright acidity and a long dry finish.

Hentley Farm 2003 Barossa Zinfandel $26.99 (Australia)

A voluptuous ruby/purple Zinfandel, shows a big spicy, peppery bouquet with notes of dried herbs. This ripe and generous wine possesses jammy black and red fruits with outstanding concentration and wonderful balance. An opulent, full-bodied effort. Like most California Zinfandels it is best drunk in the first 4-5 years.
